TCA description
Themes and objectives ANFA is a French association with 75 years of experience dedicated to Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the automotive services sector. ANFA coordinates a network of more than 400 VET schools throughout France. The automotive services sector covers training for all post-production vehicle-related activities involving cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. This sector is growing in Europe as the average age of the vehicle fleet increases. At the same time, it is undergoing a transformation with the emergence of new vehicles and electric vehicles. ANFA has been involved in European mobility for more than 30 years. Highly active in various European networks such as NETINVET and EFVET, ANFA brings extensive expertise and supports VET institutions in developing European mobility in the automotive services sector. Every year, more than 900 apprentices from the sector in France participate in a European mobility project, and the organisation aims to increase this number by offering apprentices more opportunities. Event: Following the successful first edition of AutoSkills Europe, ANFA is organising its second edition in and around Lyon from 7 to 9 October 2026. This TCA is being organised together with Erasmus+ France National Agency and is managed administratively and logistically by ANFA. The event aims to bring together staff involved in organising European mobility projects (mainly KA1, as well as KA2) in the automotive services sector, enabling face-to-face contact with partners from other countries and thus laying the groundwork for new, high-quality mobility projects. By facilitating the exchange of sector-specific topics, the event will contribute to establishing long-term partnerships involving reciprocal projects. Programme: The event will include study visits to French schools and VET centres (Day 1), an opening evening (Day 2), and a one-day seminar featuring workshops and a matchmaking session (Day 3). • The study visits will be reserved for European participants (Days 1 and 2). Participants will have the opportunity to visit two training institutions involved in European mobility and one company (visits to be confirmed at a later date). Through guided tours led by VET experts, these visits will introduce participants to different training opportunities and types of infrastructure in France. The company will be directly connected to the automotive services sector. • On Day 3, the seminar will consist of two workshop sessions covering various topics such as the certification of mobility activities, how to integrate mobility into training programmes, blended mobility, automotive trends and KA2. • The matchmaking session will allow participants to schedule meetings with one another based on the characteristics of their training provision (cars/trucks/bicycles/motorcycles and EQF Levels 3, 4 and 5). |
Expected outcomes The expected outcomes are: • Increase mobility in the automotive services sector. • Establish or strengthen robust relationships between European and French training organisations in order to implement different mobility projects (individual, group, staff, blended, certified mobility, etc.). • Share good practices, identify common ground and improve the organisation of mobility activities in the automotive services sector. • Gain a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges specific to European mobility in the automotive services sector and support the emergence of KA2 cooperation projects. • Gain a better understanding of training pathways in France and Europe. Ideally, selected participants will come to the seminar with well-developed ideas that are ready to be implemented and will actively seek European partners. Participants should be willing to share their ideas, tools and examples of good practice. Before the seminar begins, participants will be able to book meetings for the matchmaking session and review the participant list to see the different types of training represented. |
Additional information In France, the industrial and construction sectors are separate from the services sector (post-production). It is important to note that this event is intended for VET institutions in the automotive services sector involved in all post-production activities. Expected participants: Approximately 175 participants are expected in total. • 30 new European participants through cooperation with national Erasmus agencies • 50 European participants from our existing partners in the automotive sector • 65 French mobility coordinators from our school network • 20 national and European organisations connected with mobility or the automotive services sector (companies, national representatives) • 10 staff members Programme schedule: The seminar will take place at the Lyon Marriott Hôtel Cité Internationale in Lyon. The programme for European participants will differ slightly from that for French participants: • European participants are expected to be in Lyon by 13:30 on Wednesday, 7 October, with the programme beginning with study visits in the afternoon. • French participants are expected to be in Lyon by 18:00 on Thursday, 8 October. • All participants may depart from 15:30 onwards on Friday, 9 October. Travel arrangements should be made accordingly. Expenses covered: • Two nights’ accommodation on 7–8 October and 8–9 October (including breakfast), booked and paid for in advance • Return transport to the study visits • Two lunches on 8 and 9 October and one cocktail dinner. The evening of 7 October will be free, meaning that each participant will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own dinner. Working language: The working language will be English. No interpreters are planned. As English is not the native language of all participants, no minimum proficiency level is required. Furthermore, as the aim is for participants to meet one another and build genuine relationships, it is important that they find ways to communicate. |
