TCA description
Themes and objectives LTA PEACE+ (Participation Erasmus Alumni for Civic Engagement), coordinated by the IT02 National Agency INDIRE, aims to improve young people's and citizens' understanding of European values, raise awareness, and strengthen their sense of belonging to the EU. This international cooperation project promotes civic engagement and democratic participation as essential pillars for the future not only of Erasmus+, but also of the European Union. Several National Agencies have developed Ambassador networks or work in cooperation with existing Erasmus+ Alumni networks (e.g. ESN, Europeers, Euroapprentices, etc.) to promote Programme opportunities and encourage newcomers to take part. The TCA seminar organised by the IT02 National Agency INDIRE strengthens the role of Erasmus+ Alumni and Ambassadors as active promoters of European values and civic engagement through peer-to-peer communication, testimonials, actions, events, and campaigns. The TCA will focus on strengthening synergies between different networks, with the following objectives: • Develop mutual knowledge among Erasmus+ Ambassador and Alumni networks • Strengthen the role of Erasmus+ Ambassadors in raising awareness of EU values and promoting civic engagement • Share good practices • Plan actions • Foster critical thinking • Explore tools and methods for engaging young people in European democratic processes. |
Expected outcomes • Networking: participants will have the opportunity to establish new connections and strengthen relationships with peers from different countries • Broader knowledge of existing networks around Erasmus+ and how they operate • The exchange of experiences and good practices will provide inspiration for potential future actions, events, and campaigns, including within the framework of the 40th anniversary of Erasmus+ • Increased awareness among participants of European values and European citizenship • Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of participation in democratic life and related themes and will have the opportunity to explore various topics in different workshops |
Additional information The event will take place in Rome over four days (14–17 December 2026) and will bring together representatives from different countries. The programme combines plenary sessions and workshops with networking activities and cultural moments, including the opportunity to attend a concert performed by the Erasmus Orchestra. |
