Themes and goals
Digitalisation has long been central to EU education and employment policies, but artificial intelligence (AI) is now transforming the field further. Youth work plays a crucial role in helping young people navigate AI critically, building essential digital competences, and ensuring those with fewer opportunities are not left behind.
The Youth@Work Digital Competences Forum 2026 moves from discussion to practice. It offers a space for professionals to explore digital pedagogy, experiment with hands-on tools, and address the ethical and practical dimensions of AI in non-formal education and youth employment.
The forum aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals working with young people to effectively integrate digital tools and AI into their everyday practice. Key themes include:
● How AI is transforming employment and how youth workers can navigate this shift.
● Applying digital pedagogy to AI in theory and practice.
● Addressing the legal and ethical dimensions of AI in education and youth work.
Expected results
● To showcase good practices, educational projects, and practical AI tools supporting youth work and employability.
● To provide hands-on experimentation and peer-to-peer exchange for participants to share their own methods and tools.
● To foster cross-sectoral cooperation between youth work, employment, and education sectors.
Additional information
The forum is organised by the Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps as a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) within the Youth@Work Strategic Partnership, which supports youth employability and entrepreneurship across Europe.
The program includes panels and keynote speeches, parallel sessions combining theoretical inputs with hands-on workshops, and dedicated networking and experience-sharing spaces.
